David Cook, Board Chair

David Cook is the CEO of Gulf Coast Sequestration (GCS), a pure play carbon reduction and storage company based in Houston, Texas. He is the former CEO of Noreco ASA (now BlueNord) and DONG Energy’s (now Ørsted) Oil & Gas sector. He has served on Boards as Chair of TransGlobe Energy and a Director of Vaalco Energy. David has extensive global experience within the energy sector having lived in Abu Dhabi, Denmark, the UK, the USA as well as Russia and working across a further 15 countries during his career. David has a BSc in Geology/Geophysics and a PhD in Geological Sciences, both from Michigan State University. He also has an Executive Business School Certificate from The Manager’s Program at Rice University.

David brings a passion for creating people-based business success through a focus on the interplay of an organization’s purpose, business model, design and culture to catalyze business success. A firm believer in the fact that “You cannot leave a conversation knowing less than you started with,” David considers open and direct, yet respectful, communication a key to bringing out the best in people and organizations.

Caryn Vanstone

Caryn Vanstone is a transformational change practitioner, and academic.  She passionately challenges and supports a wide range of corporate, governmental, and non-profit organisations around the world, as they shift purposefully towards eco-systemic sustainability, social and environmental justice, and strength-based innovation.

She has a master’s degree in transformational change from Ashridge/Middlesex in the UK and has studied and taught in a variety of leading post-graduate programmes based at Ashridge, London School of Economics, Exeter University Business School (all UK) and Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio.

She is a Founder Director of Lacerta Consulting, working with significant global projects, leading teams of senior OD, Strategy and Purpose Consultants in complex work.  She is also lead-author of products published on Lacerta’s own academy platform, which is accessed and used by clients, and also hosts the materials that support’s the Bushe-Marshak Institute global accreditation programme for Dialogic OD.

A sought-after international speaker, consultant, and supervisor, Caryn uses her own eco-systemic experimentation in her half-acre permaculture garden in Devon, UK, as a source of her learning.  Here she raises all her family’s veggies and fruit, as well as keeping chickens and 2 colonies of honeybees.  Nature is a great teacher!
